Daily Covet: YSL Crossbody Bag

YSL.  I know, I know, so out of my league right now.

This YSL Bassace Cross-body bag is so yummy, and fall is the perfect time for cross-body bags, if you ask me.  I love pairing them with skinny jeans and knee-high boots.

This cross-body bag is a cool, muted gold, which is still big as far as metals (metallics) go.  And it looks great with all the delicious jewel tones that are big this fall too!

What do you think?  What’s your favorite bag style for fall?

Daily Covet: Love to Love Moschino

Moschino.  Always unexpected.

OMG!  I don’t even know what to do with myself right now!

I adore this bag.  Oversized?  Yes.  Practical.  No.

FUN, with a capital “F”?   Hell Yes!!

This Moschino handbag is so great.  I can just see the juxtaposition with tees and jeans and a blazer this fall.  And how about the classic, feminine style in flashy disco sequins?

Sadly, I can also see all the sequins falling off as I get in and out of the car fifty times a day with my children.  Grrrr…. I’m so wanting to “check out” in my virtual shopping cart right now.

Daily Covet: MZ Wallace Tote

I saw these MZ  Wallace bags at a dapartment store here in town last year.  I carried it around the handbag department for awhile, while I tired to decide if I should buy it or not.   I didn’t end up doing it.  Not because I didn’t like it, but because I thought I shouldn’t spend the money at the time (I think I was supposed to be Christmas shopping!)

Several MZ Wallace bags showed up on one of my favorite blogs this morning, and renewed my interest.  I hopped over to www.mzwallace.com to check out the most recent selection and fell in deep love all over again.

Yes, I know I am handbag crazy this weekend, but I had to post this Black Bedford w/Black Oxford Ava tote because it will make an amazing fall/winter bag this year.  And it’s spacious enough to stow mittens, hats and more, should winter decide to show up in the Midwest this year.

Daily Covet: Convenient “Green” bags in brights

My biotiful bags were created as a sustainable organic accessory for stylish and eco-concious shoppers.

Each handbag, tote or envolope-style clutch is made from certified organic cotton, dyes that are free of heavy metals and are sustainable from the inside out.   Not only that, the company’s mission is to raise awareness for organic cotton and its positive impact on people and the planet.

Cute, practical and good for the earth —  what a concept!

Daily Covet: Meredith Wendell Curved Tote

I love totes.  I’d rather carry a tote during the summer than almost any other bag.  They are ideal for stashing flip flops when you want to start out wearing high, wedge sandals.  Store sunscreen, snacks and drink pouches for the kids.  Or toss in your cardigan for all the places that are highly air conditioned on a hot, summer day.

This Meredith Wendell Curved Tote is perfect for the “tote of the day” job.  Of course, it’s in my favorite color, and the “braided” in handles are a cool, contrasting navy.  Interior pockets, with and without zips, let you stow those smaller objects, which tend to get lost in oversized bags.  And the flat bottom means you can set them upright without everything dumping out.

This cute bag also comes in gray with salmon-colored handles and an apple green (a close 2nd favorite!) with honey-colored, natural leather handles.

Daily Covet: Clare Vivier Bags

I found Clare Vivier bags on a cool blog I get updates from almost daily.  Clare Vivier’s first creation was born out of the need for a more feminine laptop bag, which could accomodate her computer and personal affects while she traveled often for her job in French television.

Clare Vivier’s extensive collection of clutches, totes, iPad cases and more will WOW! you with vivid color and beautiful materials.  Below is the Tropézienne sac that put Clare and her gorgeous bags on the map, and a few of my other faves too!  (Photos credits from seevivier.com)

Daily Covet: Tote your favorite city

Tote your favorite city… and don’t get lost in it either, for that matter, when you carry this earth-friendly map tote from well, maptote on myhabit.com.

At 14″ x 15.5″, these are roomy enough for the beach, the farmer’s market or just to and from work.  Of course my fave is the Paris one, but there are other ones too, like the weekend getaway trio with Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket and the Hamptons on them.

I love them so much that I want them all.  One for $22 or three for $30.  You do the math.

Daily Covet: Another choice in totes – Gucci

Did someone say, “Gucci?”  Yes, please.

Seemingly, this spring’s “it” bag, the tote is never hard to find.  And handsomely priced ones seem to be on my radar the most.

Here’s another great option – possibly my favorite thus far – of structured, but roomy totes.

Fabric Shopper with Leather Straps, ideeli.com $799.99

Daily Covet: Proenza Schouler Colorblock PS11 Tote

There are no shortage of colorblock totes this spring, and here’s another great one by Proenza Schouler – the PS11 tote.

I love the citrus-y colors, which remind me of malted Easter eggs, big glasses of lemonade and margaritas made with fresh-squeezed lime juice.

Daily Covet: Botkier Sunflower Tote

Botkier Evans Tote, Sunflower, lastcall.com $345

This adorable sunflower Botkier tote so reminds me of summer.  And lemons, lemonade, hard lemonade… ok, anyway… since my summer days are usually spent toting kids and their stuff around, totes are a major staple for me.

This Botkier Evans Tote even has some edgy hardware so no one thinks I’m just your normal, everyday mom!  And it’s on sale at lastcall.com, so I’ll have more to spend on a new bathing suit!
