Party in a glass. What’s more fun than that? You don’t even have to clean your house.
I UH-DORE these amazing little 13.5 oz glasses, which you fill up with your favorite libation… any time after noon. The speckles make way for bubbles, which float to the uppers of my new favorite, and dishwasher-safe I might add, glassware from Anthropologie.
Anthropologie’s Luella Dress. This is quite possibly one of the most beautiful and ladylike black dresses I have ever come across. And the price is surprisingly low for something that has so many aspects of fine tailoring.
You’ll notice the scalloped edges at both the sleeves and the hem, the sheer back, the skirt’s slight flare. Wear it to an evening wedding, your big birthday bash, to dinner with your honey or to receive an award for “bessed dressed!” It’s shows just the right amount of skin to be sexy, but still has a conservative, antique-y look about it.
It’s timeless and feminine and I think I NEED it!
My bloggy friend Lauren, from Baylorsays.blogspot.com, has inspired me to reinvent a piece of furniture. It’s this cute, little chest with clean lines and an almost Asian feel.
My mom found it somewhere, and we are going to clean and paint it, and put new knobs on it. I’ve been looking around at knobs this morning, hence the title, and have found a few different options from Anthropologie that I just love!
I will post the “before” and “after” when I get around to actually working on the piece (it’s at mom’s still.) But I’m very excited to see how my new little table is transformed.
My New Year’s resolution? Less time in little black sweats. More time blow drying my hair, wearing mascara and dressing like a grown up.
Does this sound shallow? Inconsequential? Easy? HA! Walk in this stay-at-home mom’s shoes, friends….
In fact, these shoes from Barney’s.
On Tuesday this week, I went to put on these cute Pilco jeans I procured at Anthropologie, and realized that I just do not have fun footwear to match a chambray shirt, a beige oatmeal swing sweater and my faded rose-colored jeans. I spent much time that day searching online for the perfect boots… and didn’t find them. But today, lo and behold, adorable boots from CO-OP.
Before you gasp at the 4″+ heels, take a gander at the fun platform… which makes these perfect for flared and my still-too-long Joe’s Provocateur (read petite) jeans too.
It was meant to be.
I am absolutely head over heels for mirrored furniture. This dresser reminds me of my trip to Versailles, where there were entire rooms of mirrored pieces alongside rich fabrics and beautiful crystal chandeliers.
I love how this very opulent piece has been turned a bit shabby chic similar to Mercury glass.
And while I would love to have two of them to use as bedside tables, the very NOT low price of $1298 means they will probably remain more of a covet than a probable purchase.
I have found the sweater for every occasion. I love this slim fitting sweater with the peplum bottom, scrunchable arms and of course, the deep cowl neck. I’m thinking tweed mini, tights that pop, some lace up booties and voila, you are day to night ready!
I just can’t decide which color I like better…
Another loyal reader submitted her Daily Covet. She picked this cute little boiled wool, slouch cloche with a ginormous bow from Anthropologie.
I can totally see her in this cute topper with tons of earthy, ruffled layers and toothpick cords.
So cute for a chilly day about town and a great splurge for a little pre-Christmas present to herself… while she shops for others, of course!
There’s nothing like bright red, orange and yellow leaves to get me into the mindset of the holidays ahead. Halloween is almost here and that means Thanksgiving and Christmas will soon be upon us too. With that in mind, I’ve got my eye out for some great looking duds to pull out of my closet at the drop of a hat. I want to look like a bag lady because of all the holiday shopping I’ve done not because I’m wearing the oldest and ugliest my closet can produce!
With that said, I thought this fitted, feminine and fun sweater from Anthropologie would be the perfect piece to throw on with jeans and flats for a day of shopping or with a cute wool felted skirt and ankle boots for a holiday girls’ lunch.
And of course, I can always wear it when the Huskers go to the Big 12 Championship Game. GO BIG RED!
It got a little chilly here in middle America this weekend. It makes me think “coats!” I have had a love affair with coats for a long, long time… I think it may have started with my first pea coat in the third grade.
I collect coats like some people collect coins or stamps and I’ve got my eye on my next coat. Anthropologie has a hot little number called the “Clinton Trench.” I’d like to think it’s named after another one of my favorites: Clinton Kelly of What Not To Wear, but it’s doubtful. Anyway I’m in the trenches this fall and I love this one.
Ruffles are big, trenches are big, black is always BIG and the Clinton Trench has it all, just like Clinton Kelly!
