Daily Covet: Coach Station Bag for you too!

The Coach Station Bag.  Today, I am coveting one for anyone, who loves a convenient mid-sized feel in a compact little handbag.

While I did covet the Station Bag for a long time, I acquired one back in about 1998 or so.  I have recently resurrected it, and have to tell you, I LOVE IT!

It has 3 inside pockets that you can easy slip things in and out of… think accordian file.  And you can pop your oversized sunglasses on the top without their oversized case because the soft leather won’t scratch your lenses.  It can also be worn as a crossbody bag or held demurely with the top handle.

My black Coach Station Bag has the classic bronze hardware, which is cool because gold is so big right now.  But if you absolutely must have silver, Coach does that too.  And if you prefer a vintage one, there are plenty of those.  Although I don’t know who wouldn’t want to hold on to this amazing little bag!

So this day, I am doing more of a product review.  This is a fabulous little bag, and luckily one bag that I don’t have to buy!

Daily Covet: Tote your favorite city

Tote your favorite city… and don’t get lost in it either, for that matter, when you carry this earth-friendly map tote from well, maptote on myhabit.com.

At 14″ x 15.5″, these are roomy enough for the beach, the farmer’s market or just to and from work.  Of course my fave is the Paris one, but there are other ones too, like the weekend getaway trio with Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket and the Hamptons on them.

I love them so much that I want them all.  One for $22 or three for $30.  You do the math.

French Connection at the end of the Rainbow

You would assume by the amount of speial occasion dresses I put on this blog, that I live a very interesting life of event-hopping.  However, I would quickly remind you of A) the name of this blog (littleblacksweats.com), and B) the reason I write this blog is because I do not have that life, but love those clothes. It’s my virtual closet of sorts.

With that disclaimer out of the way, here is another fantastic dress by one of my all-time favorites, French Connection.  I adore yellow this season, and am lucky enough to be able to wear most shades of it.  And of course, it’s top to bottom and back again embellished with stunning sequins.  I love the contrasting panels in a neutral and the shift shape of French Connection’s Rainbow dress is one I gravitate to most often.

Add a silver clutch and an occasion, stir and voila!

Daily Covet: Speaking of white… handbags

I started getting emails from Tuesday Morning because I do a lot of shopping there for home décor-y type stuff.  And much to my surprise, they are having a BIG sale on some really great Bodhi bags — and they are white!  Well, some of them are – my favorites are anyway.

Here are they are at a savings of about 75% off!  How can we can pass these up, right?!

Daily Covet: Get your hands on Marc Jacobs handbags

Leave it to GILT.com to offer another amazing collection of designer pieces at great prices (although still top designer prices).  Today, they have a slew of Marc Jacobs handbags in many colors, styles and fabrics.

Here are my faves…

Jelly Bags

Jelly bags, not beans, for Easter!

This adorable Dalvaux Brilliant vinyl bag from Barney’s looks like more fun than anything you could be doing while carrying it.  The color alone, almost literally screams out for attention.

If you are contemplating buying yourself a pair of vintage jelly shoes that will ultimately give you blisters (not to mention, make your feel sweaty and stinky), choose this structured bag in nail-polish-shiny hues instead.

Your feet and your boyfriend will thank you!

Now you can carry Brian Atwood too!

Brian Atwood, designer of the luxe sky-high heels (and the covet of all covets), now has a new line of handbags for sale.  And GILT.com has them!

My favorite is the pink and silver minaudière at the bottom… but I’d take any of them, really.

Bowling anyone? Classic handbag shapes….

The Tod’s bowler.  Classic enough style, right?

But in lemon yellow faux satin (nylon)?

Again with the yellow bags for me.  But I love yellow.  It makes me want to be outside, soaking up sun, and trotting all over the city doing fun things with my kiddos.

And the bag is definitely mom-friendly and roomy for all the necessities this mom-on-the-go needs.  The price?  Well… not so much in the mom-friendly department.
